Prospective students and their parents are strongly encouraged to tour the school as the best way to begin the applicaiton process. Otherwise it is important that you first read the SIS Admissions Procedure and SIS Admissions Statement before beginning the process. You may also view an outline of the school fees.
Previous grade reports, appropriate documents, up-to-date health records, transcripts, and proof of birth/citizenship must accompany completed application forms. Placement at a grade level can be made without testing if SIS is provided with adequate records. In the absence of these, grade level will be determined by the School Counselor and Administrators. Students are admitted and placed in all grades with consideration of the following: age, achievement level, grade level at the previous school, emotional and physical maturity and English fluency. Students transferring into SIS at a time other than the beginning of the school year, and coming from a system operating under a different school calendar, will be assigned their previous grade level.
There is a four-step process to apply for admission to SIS. To begin, you must:
- Review the Admission Procedure. You need to become aware of the process before proceeding.
- Review the school Expenses.
- Download and fill out the SIS Health Emergency Form. This form must be completed by a doctor and need not be done until your child is accepted into SIS.
- If you have completed the first two steps above and are serious about applying for admission, proceed to filling out the application.
